Browser compatibility issues (Safari/Edge/Firefox)
Learn which web browsers systemHUB officially supports, how to resolve browser-specific video, login, and rendering issues, and how extension conflicts impact platform performance.
🌐 Supported Web Browsers
systemHUB officially supports the latest releases of the following modern web browsers:
- Google Chrome (last 2 versions)
- Apple Safari (last 2 versions)
- Mozilla Firefox (last 2 versions)
- Microsoft Edge (last 2 versions, Chromium-based)
Older, legacy browsers, such as Internet Explorer and legacy non-Chromium Edge, are completely unsupported. If your team attempts to use these outdated platforms, modern web applications will generally fail to load.
🛠️ Common Browser-Specific Issues
Safari: Videos Will Not Play
Apple Safari enforces highly strict audio and video codec rules. While standard H.264 MP4 video files using AAC audio compression play flawlessly across all platforms, alternative file formats may fail to load in Safari even if they stream perfectly in Google Chrome.
- The fix: Re-encode your raw video file to match the H.264 standard, or upload the file to an external host like Wistia or YouTube and use our embed tool.
Safari: Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) Blocks Logins
If you are accessing systemHUB via Safari and find yourself repeatedly logged out of your session, Safari's built-in Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) feature is likely automatically clearing your account's authentication cookie.
To configure a temporary workaround, follow these steps:
- Open Safari and navigate to Preferences -> Privacy.
- Uncheck the box for Prevent cross-site tracking.
- Restart Safari and log back in to your account.
Alternatively, we recommend switching to Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to manage your systemHUB workspace smoothly.
Firefox: Image Rendering Glitches
Certain layered design files, such as Photoshop PSD documents, can render differently in Firefox compared to Chromium engines. If your document thumbnail images look distorted or pixelated in Firefox, open your dashboard inside Google Chrome to verify whether the issue is restricted to the browser engine.
Microsoft Edge: Corporate Security Restrictions
Many enterprise-level Microsoft Edge configurations enforce strict security policies that lock down custom browser extensions, tracking cookies, or third-party web scripts. If systemHUB loads perfectly on your home device but fails to function inside your work browser, connect with your internal corporate IT helpdesk to verify if network security rules are blocking platform resources.
Google Chrome: Third-Party Extension Conflicts
The single most frequent issue reported by Google Chrome users is third-party browser extensions actively interfering with web app page elements. If dashboard pages render incorrectly or buttons fail to respond, use this troubleshooting method:
- Open a new Chrome window in Incognito Mode, which disables all external browser extensions by default.
- If systemHUB functions perfectly while browsing incognito, an active extension is causing the conflict.
- Open your extension manager and disable your extensions one by one to isolate the culprit.
The most frequent offenders are aggressive ad blockers, tracking block lists, and password managers attempting to scan every on-screen keystroke.
📱 Mobile Web Browsers
Mobile Safari and Mobile Chrome function identically to their desktop counterparts. However, there are a couple of device-specific quirks to keep in mind:
- iOS Autoplay Restrictions: Mobile Safari on Apple iOS devices frequently blocks embedded videos from playing automatically until the user actively taps the screen, this is expected native behaviour enforced by Apple.
- Complex Data Entry: Managing lengthy system creation forms can become cumbersome on smaller mobile touchscreens, we highly recommend utilizing our desktop web interface for heavy document editing and content building.
📋 Recommended Browser Choices
For the most consistent day-to-day administration experience, we highly recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, as both run on the robust Chromium engine. Apple Safari performs exceptionally well for standard browsing and reading, while Mozilla Firefox remains fully operational for major workflows despite occasional minor visual layout quirks.
❓ When None of This Helps
If you have verified that your web browser is updated to the latest version, tested the interface in an incognito window, and are still experiencing technical issues, please contact systemHUB support with the following diagnostics:
- Your exact browser name and version number (found by typing
chrome://versionor your browser's equivalent path into the address bar). - Your device operating system (e.g., Windows 11, macOS Sequoia).
- A detailed description of the error alongside a clear, uncropped screenshot of the issue.
- Validation on whether the exact same glitch occurs when operating inside an incognito or private browser tab.
