Checking Notifications in systemHUB

Learn how systemHUB notifications keep you updated through direct tagging and system ownership, allowing you to track activity via email alerts or the in-app notification center.

🔔 How Notifications are Triggered

You will receive a notification in two primary scenarios:

  • Direct Tagging: A team member uses the @ symbol followed by your name in a comment (e.g., "@Dave, please review this step").
  • System Ownership: Activity occurs on a system where you are listed as the Primary or Secondary Owner.

📧 Email Notifications

When someone tags you, systemHUB sends an automated email to your registered address.

  • Quick Review: The email contains the sender's name and the specific system name.
  • Direct Link: You can click the View or Reply button within the email to be taken directly to the exact comment inside systemHUB.

🛠️ In-App Notifications (The Bell Icon)

If you prefer to stay inside the platform, or if you miss an email, you can manage all alerts through the in-app notification center:

  1. Locate the bell by looking for the Bell Icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Check the notification count, as a red number will appear over the bell to indicate how many unread alerts you have.
  3. Review activity by clicking the Bell Icon to see a chronological list of comments and system updates.
  4. Jump to the system by clicking More on any notification to navigate immediately to that system and address the feedback.

  • Centralised Communication: Keeps all system-related discussions tied to the document itself rather than buried in external chat apps or long email chains.
  • Historical Record: The notification list provides a clear timeline of when activities happened, helping you track the progress of system development.
  • Accountability: Ensures owners are alerted the moment a "Green" system might need an update, or an "Orange" system is ready for review.
