Checking Notifications in systemHUB

Keep on top of changes in systemHUB with the help of notifications. See how it works in the video below.

1. How Notifications are Triggered

You will receive a notification in two primary scenarios:

  • Direct Tagging: A team member uses the @ symbol followed by your name in a comment (e.g., "@Dave, please review this step").

  • System Ownership: Activity occurs on a system where you are listed as the Primary or Secondary Owner.

2. Email Notifications

When someone tags you, systemHUB sends an automated email to your registered address.

  • Quick Review: The email contains the sender's name and the specific system name.

  • Direct Link: You can click the "View or Reply" button within the email to be taken directly to the exact comment inside systemHUB.

3. In-App Notifications (The Bell Icon)

If you prefer to stay inside the platform or if you miss an email, you can manage all alerts through the in-app notification center:

  • Locate the Bell: Look for the Bell Icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

  • Notification Count: A red number will appear over the bell to indicate how many unread alerts you have.

  • Review Activity: Click the bell to see a chronological list of comments and system updates.

  • Jump to System: Click "More" on any notification to navigate immediately to that system and address the feedback.

4. Why Use In-App Notifications?

  • Centralized Communication: Keeps all system-related discussions tied to the document itself rather than buried in external chat apps or long email chains.

  • Historical Record: The notification list provides a clear timeline of when activities happened, helping you track the progress of system development.

  • Accountability: Ensures owners are alerted the moment a "Green" system might need an update or a "Orange" system is ready for review.
