Moving Your Systems and Folders
Need to move your systems and folders around? Watch this video to see how it’s done quickly and easily.
1. Drag and Drop Management
The most intuitive way to reorganize your workspace is by dragging items directly within the sidebar tree.
-
To Move a Folder or System: Click and hold the item you wish to move.
-
To Nest Item Under a Folder: Drag the item over the target folder until it "lights up," then release.
-
To Reorder Items: Drag the item between two existing folders or systems. A horizontal line will appear to indicate its new position.
2. Use the Right-Click Move Menu
For moving content across larger distances or into specific subfolders, the Move menu is often more precise.
-
Right-click on the folder or system you want to relocate.
-
Select Move from the dropdown menu.
-
A window will appear showing your entire folder structure. Select the destination folder and click Move.
3. Transfer Content Between Systems and Policies
While Training is kept in a separate, dedicated section, you can move folders and documents between Systems and Policies.
-
Right-click the item you want to move (e.g., a "Social Media" folder).
-
Select Move.
-
In the move window, click the tab for the other section (e.g., click the Policies tab if you are currently in Systems).
-
Select the destination within that section and click Move.
4. Understand Sorting and Permissions
-
Alphabetical vs. Custom: By default, systemHUB arranges your folders and content alphabetically. If you have the correct permissions, you can switch this to a "Custom" arrangement to drag items into any order you prefer.
-
Access Levels: If you do not see the move or drag options, you likely have "View-Only" or "Reader" access. Contact your systemHUB admin to request "Editor" or "Admin" permissions.
