Single Sign-On — Google
Learn how to configure Google Sign-In for systemHUB, allowing your team to authenticate easily using their Google credentials via either individual user-choice or admin-enforced Single Sign-On (SSO).
🎛️ Understanding the Two Modes
Google Sign-In lets your team log in with their Google account instead of a separate username and password, using one of two security modes:
- User-choice: Each member can choose to sign in with Google or with their standard email and password. This option is available on all accounts, and users simply click the Google button on the login screen.
- Admin-enforced (Workspace-wide): The Account Owner connects a corporate Google Workspace domain. All members within that domain are required to sign in via Google, and standard email and password login is completely disabled.
🚀 How to Enable User-Choice Mode
User-choice mode is active by default across the platform. No additional administrative setup is required, your team members just need to click Sign in with Google on the main login screen to authenticate.
🔐 How to Enable Admin-Enforced SSO
To enforce Google authentication across your entire company domain, complete the following steps:
- Navigate to the sidebar and go to Settings -> SSO -> Google.
- Enter your corporate Google Workspace domain (e.g., yourcompany.com).
- Click Verify.
- Follow the on-screen Google admin console prompts to authorize the connection.
- Once verified, configure your security preference by choosing either:
- Allow both Google + password (default setup)
- Require Google for everyone in the domain (strict enforcement)
🤖 Auto-Provisioning
If supported and enabled, any new users added to your corporate Google Workspace directory are automatically created as Reader members within your systemHUB account. You can then promote them to higher platform Roles manually as required.
❌ Removing Access
If a team member leaves your business and you remove them from your corporate Google Workspace directory, they lose systemHUB access immediately. There is no need to deactivate their profile separately within the platform.
🛠️ Troubleshooting Common Login Issues
- "I cannot sign in with Google": Confirm that the specific email address they are authenticating with matches an active user profile inside systemHUB exactly.
- "I am getting a 403 error from Google": Confirm with your internal Google Workspace administrator that they have approved the systemHUB app integration in your Google admin console.
- "Auto-provisioning is not working": Check with your Google Workspace administrator to confirm that the systemHUB application has been granted the correct data sharing scopes.
