Managing the Order of Your Systems and Folders
systemHUB sorts folders and files alphabetically but here are some tips to further control the order.
1. Understand Default Sorting
By default, systemHUB organizes your folders and systems in alphabetical order. This helps most teams find content quickly as the account grows.
2. Force a Specific Order with Numbering
If you want your folders to appear in a specific sequence rather than alphabetically, you can use a numbering system:
-
Edit the Title: Rename your folder or system by adding a number at the beginning (e.g., "1. Onboarding," "2. Operations").
-
Large Lists: For accounts with many systems, use a "0" prefix (e.g., "01," "02," "10") to ensure they sort correctly once you reach double digits.
3. Prioritize Content with Symbols
To push "Mission Critical" or high-priority systems to the very top of a list, you can use symbols:
-
Use an Asterisk or Symbol: Add a symbol like * or ! to the beginning of a title (e.g., *DAILY CHECKLIST*).
-
Why it works: Symbols are prioritized before numbers and letters in the systemHUB sorting hierarchy, forcing those items to the top of the folder tree regardless of their name.
4. What Happens Next
Once you rename your folders or systems:
-
The side menu will automatically refresh to reflect the new order.
-
These changes are visible to all team members, ensuring everyone sees the most important systems first.
